UPDATE COVID-19

Warragul Chiropractic Important Announcement – COVID-19 Update

Warragul Chiropractic remains open and ready to help the community. The health care profession is deemed an essential and valued service particularly during this time of need.

However, current evidence identifies the elderly, particularly those with predisposing illness, as having the greatest risk of serious consequences when contracting COVID-19.

As the detection of coronavirus increases in the state of Victoria, and considering the latest research, we have come to a difficult conclusion. Whilst we consider the risk of contracting COVID-19 via attendance at our practice remains low, Warragul Chiropractic recommends that our vulnerable patients self-isolate and consider postponing their chiropractic appointments until further notice. We understand that many of you rely upon us to help keep you moving. Please know that we respect your right to continue your care at this time if that is what you choose. You will not be prevented from attending.

Predisposing factors in the elderly include respiratory disease, diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, kidney disease, immunotherapy and cancer.

Additionally, we ask our patients who may have contact with those who are vulnerable to consider postponing their treatments for now.

We will be in touch by phone with any of those directly affected by this decision. Again, your practitioner supports and respects your decision.

We would also like to remind clients that are attending appointments:

Please reschedule your appointments if you are unwell (temperature, cough, cold)

Please reschedule your appointment if you or someone you have been in contact with have been overseas in the last two weeks

Everyone that comes into the clinic (whether as a patient or visitor) will be asked to wash / sanitize their hands

In the reception area we are observing the social distancing policy as recommended

We have increased our cleaning procedures in reception on all frequently touched areas (counter, eftpos terminal, door handles, railing, taps, bathroom surfaces) and in the treatment rooms Cameron and Leigh are sanitizing the treatment tables and chairs after each patient.

There is greater spacing between appointments allowing for less patients to be in the building at the one time. Further, if you arrive early for your appointment, please wait in your car until your appointment time. Please let us know at the time of making your appointment if you would like to be notified by text message when your practitioner is ready to take you into your appointment.

We are a local family business and we understand this is an incredibly difficult time for our community. If you are needing treatment and experiencing financial difficulties, please talk to Cameron or Leigh.

While it remains safe to do so, we undertake to continue our service to the community through this difficult time.
