All chiropractic care begins with a history of your complaints(s) and physical examination. Issues such as the onset of your condition, accidents, surgeries, and other relevant information concerning your current state of health will be explored. Physical examination may include specific chiropractic, orthopaedic and neurological tests and occasionally x-rays may be recommended to further evaluate your condition.
At your initial visit the chiropractor will usually make a diagnosis based on your history and examination findings and then recommend the most appropriate care for your condition. If your problem is suitable for chiropractic care treatment most often begins at the first visit.
What should you bring with you and wear?
Please wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing such as gym attire. If you already have x-rays, scans or reports relating to your problem it is recommended that you bring them to your first consultation.
What results can I expect?
If you’re new to Chiropractic care, you’ll want to know what type of result you can expect. Individual experience varies from person to person, but most people can expect some benefits soon after beginning care. For more chronic (long term) conditions results may be more gradual.
Approximately how much does a chiropractic session cost?
Consultation fees vary according to age and concessional eligibility. Please contact reception for more information.
How long are the appointments?
Typically, new clients to the practice require 30 minutes. This includes a history assessment and treatment. Subsequent visits require 15 minutes. In some circumstances more time will be required for more complex or multiple problems.
